MB held a wine tasting of wines from around Italy a few weekends ago. It was a blast! I thought the post-tasting carnage was amusing.
One of the most interesting results of the tasting was that wines with higher prices tended not to be rated higher, but to be rated in a more opinionated manner. People either loved or hated them. Perhaps this is because the flavors and aromas were the most developed in these wines, so it was easier for people to be clearer about whether they liked them or not.
More research must be required to verify this. 🙂
