Thoughts on the day
Whoever said that portable air conditioning units don’t help cool down lofts was WRONG, I’m happy to say! Okay, actually it was my neighbor. I bought a gigantic AC unit from Fry’s and it seems to be doing the trick. Ahhhhh…
You wouldn’t think that here in San Francisco I’d be having heat issues with my loft, but it’s actually pretty common. In the summer, the sun bursts through my curtains and heats the place up to 80, 82 degrees F during the day. And then it’s slow to cool down at night. So far, my little experiment at keeping the main floor at 75 seems to be working. Mu ha ha. HA Ha ha ha ah ahaaaaa…. We’ll see how well it works on the weekend when I’m here during the day.
I’m still feeling a bit lousy, that virus I picked up really wacked me. Turned out not to be strep, and it is slowly going away on its own. But I’m still headachey and tired in the evenings, sweating a lot at night (wtf), and just generally feeling logy. It hasn’t been great for my social life. 🙂
Nevertheless, Tuesday night was the local IGDA chapter event, and I had to go see my buds Chris and Isaac and give them some support. They did a great talk on the making of Death Jr and the importance of owning your IP. I’m really happy to see these guys doing well, and I can’t wait to pick up DJ for PSP when it hits the shelves. The comic is pretty great too. 🙂
