This seems like a very narrow topic for a blog! 🙂
I’m going to London shortly after DICE – maybe I’ll have to see what all the fuss is about. 🙂
Since you are going at the DICE summit, and if you have time, you can have a look at the Hilton’s Star Trek experience.
Ok… Beam it up Scotty… It was out of topic… 🙂
At the office, we got a DS and a PSP… Well… No offense to Nintendo but the DS (tech. and games) looks to be a “nice” toy for kids so far.
Have a good trip to London.
I heard the ST experience was amazing! At least from a technical standpoint (if you are not a ST fan, as I am not). With regard to the DS vs. PSP, the thing I am most curious about is the gameplay experience when examining the 2 devices. I am also interested in the “kids toy” comment. Is this just due to the type of games that have been released yet or the whole Nintendo “Game as Toy” philosophy that their design embodies?
I saw the PSP at E3 and the tons of screenies and pix on the web and I am still curious as to how *I* will percieve it when I get one.
Will it be PS2 games in my pocket? If so, that is neat but does it really differ from my playing PS2 games at home? The thing I was most suprised about with regard to the DS is how different the usual games felt with the 2 screens. Yes, most of the games that use the touch screen use it as a gimmic (except Mario 64 DS, still amazing!) but it somehow feels *different*. I’ll have to see how I view it after I get my hands on a PSP and monkey around with it.
