It only took 16 hours, but now I’m happily ensconced in my hotel room. It’s 5:30pm here. I left my place this morning at 9am (1am in Japan), took the Bart to the airport. Flew to Narita. Took the N’EX to Tokyo Station. Took the Marunouchi line to Akasaka-Mitsuke. Walked to my hotel. Aaaaaaaahhhh *kicks shoes off*
We had a ton of GameSpot people on our flight, as well as James Regan from Ubisoft. I run into him everywhere. 🙂
It’s hot and humid here. Surprise, surprise!
I realized when I got on the plane today that my mood totally changes once I abandon all the day-to-day crap I think I “have” to do. The past few days I’ve been dreading this trip, seeing it as an interruption to life, just not excited about it at all. But once I got on the plane I started dancing around in the aisles (well, not really). An adventure! Yay!
So Wednesday we’re doing meetings, Thursday more meetings, Friday is the Tokyo Game Show, Saturday is time to play, and then I head back Saturday evening. I usually head to Akihabara and Asakusa during my play time, but with so many friends in town I’m looking forward to hanging with them instead.
But for now, I need some caffeine!
