House purchase complete!!
Last night I met up with my most excellent realtor, Ken Calhoun, who gave me the keys to my new loft. Yayyyy!!
Okay, with no furniture in it, it looks a lot smaller. Time to move in!
Tonight after work I’ll grab the first of many carloads of my stuff, including a sleeping bag, and drive up to the city. I’m really looking forward to it.
After examining the emptiness, we walked over to Basil, a quite tasty Thai restaurant that’s close by. I had a lamb curry and an amazing salad with tomatoes, peanuts, and a spicy lime vinaigrette. Oh my, I think I’ll be there quite a lot.

Congrats! Christine just reminded me that we ate at Basil when we visited the Northern California area for our honeymoon (9/25/99). Here’s my restaurant summary from my trip notes:
“Restaurants: eat at Basil (in SoMa) for some super awesome Thai food, Millennium (in Civic Center) for some awesome vegetarian food, Mr. Ralpha’s Cafe (in SoMa) for good trendy lunch food with lots of designers/programmers from the nearby Multimedia Gulch area, Greens (in Marina) for some pretty good vegetarian food, Greco-Romana (in Richmond) for some pretty good Greek food.”

I love Millennium. So, so good. I’ve had a lot of good meals (tonight among them), but the spices at Millennium were just fantastic. I can’t wait to live closer. 🙂
