Been awhile since I’ve posted, but I was thinking I’m not entirely sure if anyone is actually reading this. ๐Ÿ™‚ Guess I need to rejigger my site and make this show up more strongly.
I saw a great movie over the weekend, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who is a seeker in their life. The movie is The Journey, the tale of a couple people touring around the country in a VW microbus, interviewing corporate CEOs, self-help book writers, and people who have been married for 50 years, and asking them questions like “How can I have a happy life?” The answers are broad-ranging and quite interesting.
Of course, if you’re a seeker, you may already know about Zaadz, the motivational site. Sign up for their newsletters, and you’ll receive a motivational quote each morning. Sounds like it could be a little corny, but it’s actually really great!
I could use some motivation right now. ๐Ÿ™‚

Of course I’m keeping up with your blog! Via your writings I can pretend I’m in San Francisco where it’s going to be 69 degrees today and not here in Raleigh where it’s going to be 95 degrees in a few hours. ๐Ÿ™‚
Motivation is hiding from the heat in your bonus room with all the curtains drawn programming away and trying to avoid taking the dog out since you’ll die if you walk one step outside!
Let stress wash over you. If you are doing the best you can then it makes no sense to freak out about something you can’t change. Also make sure you have good work-life balance. You’re not going to be on your deathbed saying “I sure wished I had worked more hours”. But, from your blog, it sounds like you’re having a good bit of fun so I think you’re doing OK. ๐Ÿ™‚
    Take care,
    George

    You guys rock. Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚
George, if it makes you feel any better it’s getting up to 90 degrees in Palo Alto lately. I live in a stucco house, which heats up during the day, and then when the temperatures go down in the evening it continues to emanate heat for another three or four hours. Agh! Why bother using air conditioning – it’s sort of pointless since I can’t cool the outside shell of the house, which is basically making my house into a tandoori oven ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m reading … a new reader, but I’m still reading, and hope to read more!
