Quiche, Sushi and Halo

Just had a really fun time today with my friend Dave and his girlfriend Deb. Dave and I used to work together at CMP, and then we lived next door to each other in a duplex for about a year. We had an ethernet cable run between our places so that we could play multiplayer PC games. That was a lot of fun. 🙂
Dave was visiting from LA, where he now works for THQ. We started the day off by having brunch at the excellent Cafe de la Presse in the city. Then we picked up our friend Lydia and dropped her at the airport so she could go to NAB in Las Vegas (my sympathy).
After making the requisite stop at Fry’s to scan for new games and motherboards, Dave and I ended up back at my place to play around with Metal Arms, Pandora, and Wrath Unleashed. Followed this up by picking up Deb and gorging ourselves at the fabulous Fuki Sushi in Palo Alto. Peculiarly enough, we ran into Andy House (EVP at SCEA) and his family at the restaurant. Then back to my place for some multiplayer Halo and Mario Party 4. Here’s a shot of Dave and Deb shooting some oompa-loompas on Halo’s surface.

All in all, a fabulous day!
